RUMINATIONS, AFTER-THOUGHTS AND OTHER IDEAS
While I'm the new kid on the block so to speak, for me the workshop represents the unfoldment of a long held dream -- to see those who are sincere and deeply committed, assembled at the same time and in the same place with such a high purpose.
I personally have an interest in the business world and subscribe to Business Week Magazine. As many of you know, this weeks cover story happens to be THE GROWING PRESENCE OF SPIRITUALITY IN CORPORATE AMERICA. I thought the research numbers were very interesting.
95% of Americans say they believe in God or a universal spirit.
48% say they talk about their faith at work.
78% feel that they need to experience spiritual growth in their lives.
60% have absolute trust in God.
And as you all know, you need only walk up and down the aisles of Barnes and
Nobles to see all the business books written by all the spiritual gurus.
As I mentioned to Ida, I am treating the UN work we are initiating in the same manner; using the same numbers. It is obvious in some ways that the UN is already there; we are simply making it manifest.
As we proceed with our work together, I have no doubt that our understanding will increase, our love for the work of the UN will increase; our ability to access spiritual Will will increase and our capacity to serve the whole will increase. (Mary Ann Casalino)
We might all be aware of the energies generated by the ideas, including their inner essence, expressed in this seminar. These energies will be added to the reservoir of collective thought energy of the United Nations—building and strengthening this center that is working on behalf of all humanity and the planet. We can link these energies with the ideas expressed in the April 1st public seminar regarding the Spiritual Purpose of the United Nations—thus continuing to build and strengthen the center of the wheel, which includes our global focus. (Dorothy Tilson)
As we struggle to visualize what the Spiritual Forum is, or might be, the 4th Ray of Harmony Through Conflict comes to mind and, because it is not--it must not be--any one person or group's 'way', a little "chaos, conflict and disagreement" between us is a part of it all as we work toward harmony.
There is an overall integrative effect of the Plan of Love and Light on all serving groups which is working out through the UN. In some ways the UN is providing a blueprint for the One World. It is a link, an inspiration, where we can express our highest strivings, a bridge and meeting ground where ideas may be birthed (virtual to reality) and concerns aired, where we can build on each other's shared ideas and go forward with understanding and clarity as One Humanity. Perhaps, it could be thought of as "the center which we call the race of men" from the last stanza of the Great Invocation which reads: "From the center which we call the race of men Let the Plan of Love and Light work out. And may it seal the door where evil dwells" (anonymous)
